Derek Carr put on a passing clinic on the first day of the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl games. The long-time Raiders QB posted an event-high 31 points, ensuring the AFC’s victory in the event.
Carr led an atypical team of AFC quarterbacks to victory, which also included Ravens’ Tyler Huntley, who only started 4 games in the regular season. The California native also outperformed his other conference teammate, Jags QB Trevor Lawrence.
Derek Carr roasted himself at the Pro Bowl Games
After winning the contest, Derek Carr confirmed again what he had posted on social media: he’ll be leaving the Las Vegas Raiders and moving on to greener pastures in 2023. The magic was the way the QB delivered the news, taking a shot at himself despite a stellar Pro Bowl performance.
When asked if he’s ever been that hot in Las Vegas, Carr roasted himself with a hilarious answer: “Not that hot, that’s why I’m going somewhere else”. Carr was benched with two weeks to go in the 2022 NFL season to give way to backup Jarrett Stidham.
