Cincinnati mayor mocks Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes with cringey proclamation

Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval mocked Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs with an official proclamation Friday that many fans found cringey and distasteful.

Joe Burrow will have to “take a paternity test” to prove he’s not the father of Mahomes, Pureval joked.

Burrow: It stings.. but we still have something to celebrateAP

Burrow, 26, is 3-0 against Mahomes in his career, including last postseason in the AFC Championship game.

Pureval, 40, also trolled Kansas City — which was incorporated eight years before Kansas became the 34th state in 1861 — for sharing the same name as its neighboring state.

The Cincy mayor has spent his time trolling KC fans ever since Bengals defeated the Buffalo Bills, calling Arrowhead Stadum, “Burrowhead.”

Kansas City mayor reacts to ‘Burrowhead’ comment

After the “Burrowhead” comment, Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas took the bait, responding by saying that Bengals fans are all brand new.

In response to the most recent trolling, Mayor Lucas chose not to clap back, instead saying he’ll see them Sunday.

Brittany Mahomes, wife of the Kansas City quarterback, also spoke out against Mayor Pureval.

“Weak and embarrasing,” she tweeted.
