Derek Wolfe: Retired Super Bowl champion hunted a gigantic mountain lion that ‘wreaked havoc’ in a neighborhood

Derek Wolfe, former defensive end with the Denver Broncos, with whom he manage to win the Super Bowl, posted a crazy photo on his Instagram in which he can be seen holding an enormous mountain lion that he had just killed in Grant, Colorado.

Wolfe explained that the big cat had been terrorizing a neighborhood in Colorado, having killed a woman’s dogs, who then called the former player for help, not knowing what the mountain lion could do next.

Derek Wolfe is an Ohio native that enjoys hunting and fishing, and decided to embark on a journey to kill the mountain lion to prevent it from continuing to terrorize the rural neighborhood in the city.

“We found a fresh 4×4 mule deer he had just killed. We hiked straight up 2500ft and down the other side, then back up again, back down the other side and then back up again to 9600ft. Exhausted, dehydrated, cramping I drew back my @hoytbowhunting and sent an @sevrbroadheads through him.”

Derek Wolfe fell of a rock while carrying the mountain lion

Derek Wolfe was carrying the death animal when he fell 10 ft off a rock while carrying the almost 200 pound mountain lion corpse.

“Then I had to crawl backwards down the mountain with him to get him to the truck I fell 10ft off a rock face on the way down lol. Any guess how big this thing was ?”
