Pedja Mijatovic, a former Real Madrid player who played a decisive role in scoring Los Merengues’ goal against Juventus in the 1998 Champions League final, analyzed the team’s current situation on Radio MARCA.
“Real Madrid, like all big teams, has its good and bad moments,” Mijatovic told Radio MARCA.
“Madrid is very much alive and when you start to think they’re dead, interesting things always happen.
“I’m sure Ancelotti will find solutions, he’s an old man. A cycle is not over, at Madrid there is always a hunger for titles.”
Real Madrid working on Jude Bellingham transfer
Mijatovic is even more relaxed when it comes to Los Blancos’ strategy in the transfer market.
“In January we don’t have to sign anyone, in the summer we do have to do certain things and I’m sure the club is preparing,” he continued.
“We need a striker, a creative midfielder, full-backs… I know they are working on signing Bellingham.
“Of course, I’m still dreaming about Mbappe, sooner or later he should be a Real Madrid player.”
Modric and Hazard
“I think we can enjoy Modric a bit more. Hazard is unbelievable, nobody expected it. Talking about him now is practically talking about a former player,” the Serbian explained.
Message of hope
“If anyone has enjoyed these 10 years it has been the Madridistas, so please, let’s give them a little more time and we’ll judge at the end of the season,” he declared.
