When Shakira saw her jam was vanishing, she allegedly deduced her longtime partner Gerard Piqu was cheating on her.
The famous soccer player and their children all detest jam, so when the singer got home from her trip, she became suspicious about the missing fruit spread, according to ShowNews Today.
In the music video for their song “Te Felicito,” which features her opening a refrigerator to find Rauw Alejandro‘s head on a platter, Shakira seemed to make reference to this unfortunate turn of events.
The 11-year relationship between the Colombian music artist and Piqu ended peacefully in June 2022, but since then, things have gotten worse as she dropped the scathing diss song “BZRP Music Session #53,” in which she criticizes both her ex and his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
In the new song, Shakira sings in Spanish about her tax trial and how she was left with her mother-in-law as a neighbor and media outlets knocking on her door.
Shakira and Piqu’s separation has turned into a scandal
Shakira is said to have turned a witch doll and positioned it facing Piqu’s mother’s house on her balcony after the song’s release. The 35-year-old athlete hasn’t reacted to Shakira’s latest song.
“It’s been hard not only for me, but for my kids as well. Unbelievably hard. I have paparazi camped out in front of my house, 24/7. And there’s nowhere I can hide from them with my kids, except in my own house. You know, we can’t take a walk in the park like a normal family or go for ice cream or do any activity without the photographers following us,” Shakira told ELLE Spain.
But Shakira’s artistic inspiration has not stopped and in the months after their separation, the Colombian has released three hit songs in which she talks about her breakup with Piqu.
