Georgina Rodriguez and the strict dress code she faces in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines all around the world when he was unveiled as Al-Nassr‘s latest signing, set for at least two seasons playing in Saudi Arabia.

He has done so accompanied by his partner, Georgina Rodriguez and all their children – as always.

And she’s undoubtedly become the other main protagonist of his arrival in Arabia.

The laws in Saudi Arabia will force Rodriguez to make some changes. She was seen during the presentation making a gesture to the country where she will reside with the Portuguese star in a basic black turtleneck jersey.

On top she opted for a chocolate-brown velvet tunic, very similar to what girls in these countries usually wear.

What is the dress code?

Saudi Arabia is not exactly a friendly country for women, not to mention that its strict religious laws could be a hindrance to the couple’s relationship since the footballer and the model are not married.

According to several media reports, the authorities will ignore the offence in this case.

Rodriguez will have to change the way she dresses in public and from now on she will have to conform to the Statute of Public Decorum.

She will have to dress with modesty and decorum, no cleavage, no tight clothes, no short garments and, in short, no excess skin.

A nod to the country

In her last post on Instagram Rodriguez wanted to thank the reception:

“Thank you so much Saudi Arabia for such an amazing welcome. We are extremely excited for this new adventure with @alnassr_fc and we’d like to say thank you to everyone that made it happen.

“I’m really grateful to see you, @cristiano super excited and walking, hand in hand, in the same direction towards a bright future. Always together with our beautiful family”
