Barbara Walters, the legendary pioneer of TV news broadcast journalism has died at age 93.

Barbara Walters was the first woman to become a TV news presenter in the United States, she was an intrepid interviewer, anchor and host.

She spent nearly four decades at ABC, having been a part of NBC earlier in her career as well. Among the characters that she interviewed we can find royalty, rulers, politicians, athletes and entertainers, which naturally boosted her news programs to higher ratings.
