Andre Bing identified as Chesapeake Walmart shooter

Andre Bing, the store manager who opened fire at a Walmart in Virginia, has been named as the shooter. Bing killed six other employees before committing suicide.

A coworker named “Andre” is visible in a Facebook Live video that appears to have been produced by a Walmart employee and has been making the rounds online.

The woman points her camera at the young man, who is seen laughing with the employees before walking away. When the footage was taken is unknown.

According to Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky, the shooter killed six of his coworkers before shooting himself in the head.

According to the police department, one dead victim was discovered near the front of the store, and three people, including the gunman, were discovered dead in the break room. They stated that although three further patients were sent to other hospitals for additional care, they passed away from their wounds.

On Facebook Live, a purported store employee narrated the terror and first named the attacker as a manager.

“He blew his brains out and everything. He killed the girl in there and everything. He came in and started spraying. I’m sorry for the victims,” said the employee.

Later, Walmart revealed Bing’s identity in a statement that read: “We are focused on doing everything we can to support our associates and their families at this time. The alleged shooter has been identified as Andre Bing. We can confirm he was a Walmart associate.”

Police broke through the door of the house where Bing was allegedly living earlier on Wednesday.
