Ben Simmons didn’t have a warm welcome and was booed in his return to Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Brooklyn Nets tonight with a 116-105 scoreboard, despite not having their top two players in Joel Embiid and James Harden, Tobias Harris scored 24 points for the home team and guided them to victory.

“I feel like this is a huge win for us. I knew going into the game we were all going to come out with this type of energy and this type of buzz to get up to play”, Harris told the media after the game.

Ben Simmons was heavily booed in his return to Philadelphia

This was Ben Simmons first game in Philadelphia since leaving the team after refusing to play again for the team after he was heavily criticized for the team’s struggles to compete for an NBA championship.

Simmons was booed every time he touched the ball, with fans even chanting “F**k Ben Simmons” on a couple of ocassions, but the player managed to have a good game with 11 points, same number of assists and seven rebounds, while Kyrie Irving scored 23 points and Kevin Durant added 20 more.

Simmons said he expected the crowd to be louder than what it was.

“I think it’s going to be like this forever. I really don’t see it changing”, Simmons added.

Kevin Durant says nobody likes the Brooklyn Nets

Kevin Durant had a modest game and still put up 20 points, but the Nets played the last three minutes of the game without Durant, Irving or Simmons on the floor after their coach, Jacque Vaughn decided to pull them out after deeming the lead on the scoreboard to big to come back.

“Everybody wants to see our team fail. Nobody likes Ben. Nobody likes Ky. Nobody likes myself”, Durant told the press.
