Boxing: Jake Paul launches verbal attack on KSI after next opponent is announced

YouTuber turned boxing star Jake Paul has hit out at KSI after his next opponent was announced as being Conor McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis.

KSI made his name on YouTube with his personal channel as well as his role with the Sidemen, a highly successful British YouTube group made up of seven members.

He recently won two fights in one night at a special event and now his next fight has been announced at the Misfits Boxing event in Texas.

He will be facing mixed martial artist Dillon Danis at Wembley Arena on January 14. Before the fight was even announced, KSI had talked up Danis’ abilities by saying the American was “dangerous”.

Jake Paul took issue with what KSI had said and he tweeted: “‘Has beaten a lot of people’.

“You are ‘boxing’ a guy who has two MMA fights in his entire career and the last one of those was 3.5 years ago.”

Added further fuel to the fire, Paul started to explain that KSI should actually be fighting Tyron Woodley who recently said that he has a contract to fight KSI. Paul insinuated that KSI is too scared to do that fight right now.

He said: “Should have fought Woodley but you ain’t got the balls.” KSI and Danis clashed at the weigh-ins for Sunday morning’s Misfits card, with the latter punching the former in a heated scuffle.

The pair went face-to-face again shortly after the confirmation of their bout and were quick to trade verbal jabs.

Danis asked KSI on stage: “Do you want me to choke you out right here?” and KSI responded: “No, you don’t need to, but I could knock you out if I wanted to.”
