Usually known for their on-court performances. the Golden State Warriors made headlines when reports surfaced of an altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.
According to the report, Green forcefully struck Poole during practice, which ultimately led to more pushing and shoving between the pair, forcing their teammates to separate the duo.
Andre Iguodala takes to Twitter to defend teammates
Following the incident, the Twitter-verse exploded, with several users questioning the team chemistry of the Warriors and if they would be able to defend their title during the upcoming season.
Iguodala also took to the platform, defending his teammates and serving as a voice of reason for the franchise.
“What we not gone do is talk crazy about my young fella JP… great character kid… miss me with all that other bs… straight from the ‘SOURCE’,” Iguodala said in reference to Poole on Twitter.
“And it’s family business with my bro, Draymond Green,” he followed in support of Green.
Draymond Green’s apology
Yahoo Sports reporter Chris Haynes claims that Green was apologetic following the incident.
“Draymond Green was apologetic in the aftermath of the altercation with Jordan Poole, but there was a build-up stemming from teammates noticing a change in Poole‘s behavior throughout camp, with the guard on the verge of securing a lucrative extension,” Haynes wrote.
As things stand, the situation between the pair seems to have cooled down, with the Warriors set to tip off against the Los Angeles Lakers for their final pre-season game on October 10.
