If there is a coach who cannot complain about the transfer window achieved by his leaders, it is Xavi. Throughout the summer, the duo Joan Laporta-Mateu Alemany has been in the oven and in the mill to offer a sacred workforce to the former midfielder of the club. And the latter pays them well for the moment, since the team’s results at the start of the season are rather satisfactory, with five wins and a draw in six La Liga days in particular.
But Xavi still wants reinforcements in the coming months to continue the renovation of the workforce. In particular, he wants to have a replacement for Sergio Busquets, who is getting to be of a certain age and who could well leave Barça this summer, even if the coach still wants to keep him. There is a player that Xavi really likes to take his place in the medium term: Martin Zubimendi.
Xavi urges management

We learn in particular that Xavi has asked his leaders to speed up on this file, while Real Sociedad is negotiating a contract extension with his 23-year-old player. In the event of signing a new lease with his training club, Zubimendi would become too expensive for the Catalan club, with a release clause which would amount to 90 million euros.
Xavi therefore wants his leaders to hinder this extension process and act quickly, otherwise he will have to wait a few more years to be able to recruit the former Spanish international hopeful. Time is running out, and Barça will therefore have to act very quickly, even if it means taking action this winter…
