Direct Payment: How to get a $1,000 aid check for undocumented immigrants?

Undocumented immigrants can now submit an application an be eligible to receive a new direct payment of at least $1,000 dollars, after a new program has been introduced.

Washington State officials announced the introduction of this program targeting undocumented immigrants, with Axios reporting that every applicant will receive a debit card or check worth at least $1,000.

The amount an individual will receive will be determined by the number of applications that are submitted in the state before the November 14 deadline.

Who can claim this stimulus?

In order to be able to claim this aid, individuals must be over 18 years old and reside in Washington.

Undocumented immigrants didn’t receive any stimulus or unemployment checks during the pandemic, therefore know they will access this $340 million dollar fund that lawmakers in the state had approved sin April 2021, but has been plagued with delays.

California is also sending tax rebates to their citizens

In California, around 23 million people will benefit from a $17 billion tax rebates for inflation relief program signed a couple of months ago by Governor Gavin Newsom.

This way Californians will get a payment between $200 and $1,050 dollars arrive, to help them fight the struggles of inflation.

The amount of the payment will depend on the household size, tax filing status and of course, income. Payments can be expected to arrive between October 2022 and January 2023.
