Messi arrives in the United States with the Argentina national team

Lionel Messi has reported for Argentina duty, alongside Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Tagliafico.

The four were among the earliest players to arrive for this international break, landing in the United States in the early hours of this Monday morning. Argentina face Honduras and Jamaica in two friendlies.

Messi arrived in Miami on a private flight alongside his two former PSG teammates – both now with Juventus – and Tagliafico.

In Miami, the four join Atlanta United‘s Thiago Almada and Brighton‘s Alexis Mac Allister. The latter travelled earlier than planned after some Premier League games were postponed due to the death of queen Elizabeth II.

The rest of the players are arriving throughout the day on Monday and will get to work under Lionel Scaloni in their final set of games before the 2022 World Cup in November.
