LAFC 3-1 Houston Dynamo: Carlos Vela guides LAFC back to winning ways with two goals against Houston Dynamo

As has become a habit, Carlos Vela has become the key player of the Los Angeles FC as he guided his team to beat Houston Dynamo with two penalty kick goals.

The match was just eight minutes old when Griffin Dorsey committed a foul on Dnis Bouanga and the referee decreed the penalty and it was there where Carlos Vela took the ball to put it in the penalty spot and fooled Steve Clark to open the scoreboard in favor of LAFC.

Dynamo earn a temporary equalizer

But LAFC’s temporary joy didn’t last long, as Corey Baird beat his opponent to score the equalizer and the Southern Californian team had to come from behind again.

Carlos Vela’s second goal

The Dynamo committed another foul inside the box and the former Real Sociedad star once again took the ball and placed it with great confidence to score again at the goalkeeper’s left post to score his brace and make it 2-1 for LAFC.

With the score already in favor of the team of Gareth Bale (who came of the bench on again without much to note), Giorgio Chiellini and Vela himself, took control of the ball in midfield and set up several plays to be the dominators of the night. Ryan Hollingshead took advantage of a rebound in the box and took a defender off his line to send the ball into the back of the net to make it 3-1.

There was no more time for more, and LAFC had one more victory and is ready for the playoffs.
