Boxing: Jake Paul: Maybe Canelo will have to fight me if he loses to Golovkin

Jake Paul has indicated that Canelo Alvarez may have to face him in a ring in the event he loses in his third bout with Gennady Golovkin this weekend.

The two men will face each other in Las Vegas and the famous YouTuber-turned-boxer has revealed who is the favourite to come out victorious from the fight in his opinion.

“I think it’s a great fight and I’m excited,” Paul told FightHype.

“I think that Canelo will win just because of the chip on his shoulder coming off of the loss. Canelo’s not going to lose two in a row.

“But if he does? F***, I don’t know. Maybe he’ll go straight into the Jake Paul fight after that.

“But I think that Golovkin just hasn’t been competing at the same level of opposition and because of that I’m thinking Canelo will win.”

Canelo recorded an unexpected loss to Dmitry Bivol back in May. The Mexican boxer is willing to face the Russian again after his fight with Golovkin in his bid to take revenge over Bivol.

Meanwhile, Paul, who has a 4-1 boxing record, is set to return to action on October 29 against Anderson Silva.
