Christophe Galtier praises Warren Zaire-Emery for his first in Ligue 1

After coming into play in the Trophée des Champions against FC Nantes in Tel Aviv, young Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery played his first minutes in Ligue 1 this Saturday evening. Aged 16, 4 months and 29 days, this entry allows him to become the youngest player in the club’s history in the league, thus beating Kingsley Coman’s record (16 years, 8 months and 4 days) against Sochaux in February 2013.

Asked at the microphone of Canal +PSG coach Christophe Galtier was also complimentary of the native of Montreuil, who should gain playing time over the season: “Words are always flattering for a player. Warren is a very serious player and he was very good during the preparation. I had to give him his first minutes in Ligue 1. I think he is one of the youngest PSG players to play in the Championship. It’s important to walk the talk. The Parisian training is of a very high level and these young people must feel concerned.
