Newcastle have decided to materialize the confidence placed in Eddie Howe: indeed, the English coach has signed a new long-term contract with the Magpies, the duration of which was not specified in the press release. The 44-year-old technician arrived in November 2021 free of any contract, a few days after the club was taken over by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. He notably succeeded in his maintenance mission with an 11th place, while the NUFC was the Premier League’s red lantern after 12 days.
“It’s a great feeling to commit my future to this incredible club. I am extremely proud to be the head coach of Newcastle United and have enjoyed every moment here. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my coaching staff, players, staff and supporters. They make this club a very special place to be every day. (…) We are still at the start of our journey, but it is an exciting time to be part of Newcastle United and I am very excited about the future together.”
