Tragedy in Los Angeles: Brutal vehicle crash leaves six dead

A speeding car ran a stop sign and caused a fatal accident that killed six people, including a pregnant woman and her baby, in the Windsor Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Eight other people were injured and had to be transported to the hospital after the violent accident that occurred before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of La Brea and Slauson Avenues.

In videos that were released after the accident, a speeding Mercedes-Benz car is seen running a stop sign, while many vehicles cross the intersection at Slauson Avenue.

The crash is spectacular, even after the impact there is a line of fire and smoke immediately starts to come out after the speeding car stops at a light pole.

Six dead and eight injured in the accident

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene of the accident, which left six people dead, including the pregnant woman and her baby.

Eight people were also injured and required medical attention and transport to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where they would be treated to rule out any life-threatening conditions. Six were teenagers and one suffered serious injuries.

The accident was fatal, but could have been worse, as it occurred near a gas station. Although the cause of the accident was not known, the video shows that the Mercedes was speeding and was the one that ran the red light and hit the cars crossing the intersection.

There were six cars involved in the incident, three of which ended up in flames and another equal number with minor damages; an adult woman was driving the car that caused the accident.
