Ceesay and Frabotta set for Serie A new boys Lecce

Newly-promoted Serie A side Lecce are busy, signing Assan Ceesay as a free agent and closing on a loan for Juventus left-back Gianluca Frabotta.

The Salentini won the Serie B title and will be in the top flight for the 2022-23 campaign.

This afternoon they formally announced the arrival of striker Ceesay as a free agent after his contract from FC Zurich expired.

The 28-year-old centre-forward is a Gambia international with 11 goals in 25 senior caps.

Ceesay scored 22 goals in 36 competitive games for FC Zurich this season.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Lecce are also close to securing left-back Frabotta on loan from Juventus.

He turns 23 next week and spent this season on loan at Hellas Verona, making only two appearances due to injury and COVID-19.
