Westworld season 4: release date and where to watch

Westworld will return for a fourth season in 2020, according to HBO. Despite a steep drop in viewership, the third season ended in May of that year, and the studio announced that showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy would return to continue their big-budget sci-fi drama. Here’s everything you need to know about Westworld’s upcoming season.

What we know so far about Season 4 of Westworld

Westworld is a drama series based on the 1973 film directed by Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton and set in an android theme park designed to look like the Old West for the first two seasons.

Season three spent more time in the human world, and season four is expected to follow suit, picking up where season three left off.

Season three of Westworld ended with Caleb, played by Aaron Paul , starting a revolution, and it followed Bernard’s quest to understand the Sublime, a secret server to which some hosts have gained access.

Caleb will most likely carry on the revolution after Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood) died at the end of season three. Dolores’ fate, on the other hand, remains unknown. Despite the fact that Serac, a now-dead insane billionaire whose AI controlled humanity, erased Dolores’ memories, all hosts must die for her to be truly dead.

In terms of other plotlines, Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) will likely continue her search for her daughter, while Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) will continue to build her host army. Season four will almost certainly see humanity devolve even further into chaos.

Release date and where to watch

Westworld’s fourth season will premiere on June 26, 2022. Season four of Westworld will be available on HBO‘s video streaming service HBO Max, just like the first three seasons.

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the showrunners of Westworld, will return for season four. Aaron Paul, Tessa Thompson, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, and Thandiwe Newton will all reprise their roles in the film.

Even though her character, Dolores Abernathy, was killed in the season three finale, Evan Rachel Wood will return. Aurora Perrineau has reportedly joined the cast as well.
