Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is set to launch his own line of underwear under the Brady Brand.
Seeking to promote his latest offering, though, the superstar quarterback might have gone too far.
Brady’s promise to model underwear
The Brady Brand released a tweet on June 9, with a pair of models sporting the brand’s underwear.
In a bid to market the undergarments, Brady shared a post on Twitter with the caption: “40k likes and I’ll recreate these photos,” while also requesting more of the line’s socks to be sent his way.
Tom Brady reaches out to Musk
In an attempt to backtrack on his statement, Brady reached out to Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk, seeking the Tesla CEO’s help to ensure his tweet doesn’t reach the targeted amount of likes.
“Hey man,” Brady tweeted, tagging Musk. “How’s it going? Just checking back in here, how would one go about removing likes from a tweet.”
Despite his efforts, Brady‘s post now has over 49,000 likes, meaning it will be interesting to see if the NFL quarterback follows through on his promise of modelling his own underwear.
