Funny man David Koechner had another problem with the law this week, as he was pulled over for drunk driving while he was on tour.
He swerved and got pulled over
The Anchorman actor was instructed to stop by a State Trooper in Southern Ohio around 2 am on June 4th because allegedly, he made a quick turn to avoid something and that grabbed the attention of the officer, he pulled him over, and apparently smelled like he had been drinking, which had him in trouble.
He is to appear in court
He received a ticket for drinking and driving and will have to appear in court in July.
He was in Ohio because he was on tour hosting the event called “The Office – Trivia Night” where he played his iconic and irreverent character Todd Packer.
At the beginning of the year, he also had trouble with the law
Koechner has been arrested earlier this year, on new year’s eve, he was charged with a DUI and hit and run, where he blew two tires before taking the breathalyzer test where the measuring unit found .13 of Blood Alcohol Content, TMZ reports that when he got to the station his BAC was .12.
Koechner is facing family trouble
His problems with the law are probably causing him family trouble since his wife whom he filed for divorce has filed legal documents for him to stop visiting his 5 children, mentioning that “safeguards be put in place to ensure (Koechner’s) sobriety.”
When he filed for divorce, his ex was teaching a 6-week webinar on divorce, how to avoid it and how to go through during a difficult situation such as a relationship failure.
