Britney Spears’ ex-husband crashes the singer’s wedding, gets arrested

TMZ reports that police were called to Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s wedding on Thursday in response to a trespasser report, which turned out to be none other than Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander.

The 40-year-old, who was married to Spears for less than 55 hours in 2004, used Instagram Live to film himself inside the singer’s home, telling security personnel that he had been invited to the event. He can be heard asking a security guard, “Where’s Britney?”

The live feed fades out, only to reappear outside, with Alexander approaching a pink tent. “Don’t fuck with me, bro. I’m done,” he says. “So here’s the inside scoop, guys, on the bullshit wedding.”

Alexander, who was present at the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 and recently pleaded guilty to stalking an unidentified woman, allegedly instigated “some kind of physical struggle” at the wedding before being “eventually restrained outside,” according to TMZ.

Alexander made it inside Britney’s house and continued to live stream from there. Outside, he was eventually restrained.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department also responded to a trespassing call, according to TMZ, and is still on the scene.

Britney’s ex was arrested at the scene

“Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,” Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, said to Page Six.

“And we will seek to ensure that Mr. Alexander is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” he added.

Though Alexander has shown public support for Spears during her contentious conservatorship battle, including attending several #FreeBritney rallies, he has a disturbing history of lurking outside the singer’s family’s homes.

After learning that Alexander paid them an unannounced visit in January, Spears’ relatives were “disturbed.”

Alexander was previously arrested in December 2021 for violating a protective order and stalking an unidentified woman. On Jan. 4, he pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to nearly a year of probation.

Alexander was arrested for the third time in 13 months. In January 2021, he was arrested for driving under the influence and breaking security protocols at an airport in August.
