Man City vs Everton – WSL preview: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Manchester City will be hoping a win by a large and almost impossible scoreline against Everton will help in their uphill battle to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

With the final games of the WSL season taking place at the same time, Manchester City require a 11-goal swing and an Arsenal loss to pip the Gunners to third.

Meanwhile, Everton clinched a win over Brighton last weekend, but previous losses to Chelsea and Arsenal meant they were out of the race for fifth place early on. Looking to end on a high, Brian Sorenson’s side will be hoping to do better than their 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture.

Ellie Roebuck will not feature in the final game of the season as she was served a red card in their previous fixture against Manchester United.

Backup goalkeeper Sandy MacIver is also not available after a groin injury, but Gareth Taylor said an alternative solution will be available.

Gabby George is still out with injury, and Agnes Beever-Jones is serving her suspension after being shown a red card during Everton’s clash with Arsenal. Jess Park is ineligible but injured regardless.

Bunny Shaw vying for the Golden Boot means that Man City have plenty of reason to give it their all on Saturday, even if Champions League qualification is now extremely unlikely.

However, without their first or second-choice goalkeepers, Taylor’s side are not in the best of positions, leaving themselves in a vulnerable state at the back, which Everton will look to exploit throughout the 90 minutes.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Everton
