Hanna Cavinder, former college basketball playerfor the University of Miami, has taken her first step into a new chapter in her life.
Hanna, along with her twin sister, recently announced that they would be stepping away from college basketball to pursue new opportunities. On Tuesday, Hanna posted her first Instagram post since the announcement, and it appears she has taken up golfing.
In the post, Hanna can be seen wearing a short khaki skirt and white top. She seems to be surprised by the trajectory of the ball she hit off the tee in a video included in the post. The caption reads, “golfer han.. is still in progress.” Hanna’s sister, Haley, offered words of encouragement in the comments section, saying “& twinski can golf.”
The Cavinder Twins set their sights on new horizons
The Cavinder twins are well-known collegiate athletes on social media, with 4.5 million followers on TikTok and 195,000 on Instagram. Each basketball player on her personal accounts has more than 600,000 followers. The sisters recently announced that they will not pursue a fifth year of NCAA eligibility and thanked the University of Miami for an unforgettable season.
The Cavinders played for Fresno State from 2019-2022 and transferred to Miami for the 2022-23 season. The Hurricanes were 22-13 in the regular season and were a No. 9 seed in the tournament. They made it all the way to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history.
Aside from pursuing golf, the twins have also signed a deal with WWE and are on course to start training with the company soon.
