Draymond Green suspended for one game after stepping on Domantas Sabonis

Draymond Green’s past appears to have come to haunt him as the NBA has suspended the Golden State Warriors forward for one game, meaning he’ll have to sit out Game 3 of their playoff series against the Sacramento Kings, after he stepped on Domantas Sabonis during Game 2, being called for a flagrant 2 foul and getting ejected from the contest in the fourth quarter.

The NBA cited Green’s long history of unsportsmanlike acts as part of the reason’s why they handed him the one game suspension without pay.

What did Draymond Green say about stomping Domantas Sabonis?

Draymond said after the game that he can only step so far while someone is pulling his leg away.

“My leg got grabbed — the second time in two nights — and the referee is just watching. I got to land my foot somewhere, and I’m not the most flexible person, so it’s not stretching that far,” Green tried to explain after the game.

This all comes after during the final days of training camp, Draymond Green viciously punched his teammate Jordan Poole.
