Former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka will meet with the Houston Rockets on Wednesday in hopes of joining the organization, who have also spoken with other candidates making a return to the NBA, including Frank Vogel.
Udoka, 45, has the possibility of returning to the league after missing an entire season due to his affair with a Celtics staff member going public.

Vogel, 49, is currently the frontrunner to replace former Rockets head coach Stephen Silas, who led Houston to a 22-60 record this season.
Udoka is arguably a better coach than Vogel, but the latter does have a ring to show on his resume.
Even though Udoka led the Celtics to the NBA Finals last year, the Golden State Warriors came out on top, but he was considered to be the catalyst for the team’s deep run in the playoffs.
James Borrego, another option for Rockets
James Borrego, former head coach of the Charlotte Hornets, reportedly interviewed with Houston on Monday.
It’s hard to imagine, however, that the Rockets brass would choose Borrego over Udoka or Vogel, two much better options.
The only reason Houston has to snub Udoka is if his cheating scandal will affect the franchise, but time heals all.
Giving Udoka a second chance wouldn’t be the craziest thing the NBA has done.
