A major boxing event in Italy was interrupted last Friday night by a monumental brawl involving UFC fighter Marvin Vettori, who allegedly came to the defense of a friend. Footage captured by a camera shows, albeit in somewhat blurry form, him cleanly and swiftly punching rapper and professional boxer Omar Nguale Ilunga (24-2-1, 12 KOs) known as Ion.
The UFC fighter was in Milan to follow live from the Allianz Cloud the evening’s headlining bout between up-and-comer Ivan Zucco and Germaine Brown.
According to MMA reporter Al Zullino, Vettori was accompanied by his friend rapper Tony Effe, who was seen arguing with Ilunga. They started a fight and ‘The Italian Dream’ threw a couple of ‘hammer blows’ to Ion‘s head as he fell.
It should be recalled that last week we could see Vettori in London fighting in the cage against Roman Dolidze, in a bout scheduled on the Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman 3 undercard at UFC 286.
