While the contracts of Gavi, but also of Ronald Araujo have still not been approved by La Liga, FC Barcelona is looking for solutions to reassure its two players. As of now, the 18-year-old midfielder isn’t even registered as a first-team player with Blaugrana anymore. For both contracts to be officially registered, Barca need to lower their wage bill to €200m or significantly improve their income.

But according to Sport, the Catalan leaders have given the Spaniard and the Uruguayan a hundred percent guarantee that their new contracts will come into effect already this summer. Their renewal will even have priority over potential signings during the summer transfer window. After having finalized the situation of Gavi and Araujo, the objective will be to register the contracts of Sergi Roberto and Marcos Alonso.
