Selena Gomez comes clean about getting body-shamed constantly by online trolls

Selena Gomez has had to deal with a lot throughout her life, body-shaming is sadly another burden for her due to her popularity. What people who go after her don’t understand is that she has been dealing with her lupus disease and the entire Justin Bieber fan base at the same time. But apart from that, we need to get something clear. Body-shaming online is not okay to do, kids. No matter what you are going through in your life, the anonimity social media gives you is no excuse to harass famous people or anyone for that matter. Selena Gomez knew she would have to deal with haters as a celebrity and she has been brave this whole time.

But her Apple TV+ docuseries just released on Thursday, it is called ‘Dear…’ and Selena Gomez just made a confession that makes a lot of sense. She came clean about how she feels every time someone talks about her looks, she said: “I lied. I would go online and I would post a picture and I would say, ‘It doesn’t matter. I’m not accepting what you’re saying’. I was posting these things saying it doesn’t bother me because I didn’t want it to bother other people who are experiencing the same thing. Getting shamed for what they look like, who they are, who they love, I just think it’s so unfair. I don’t think that anybody deserves less than. I was being shamed for gaining weight because of my lupus.”

Selena Gomez’s amazing accomplishments

Apart from her impressive music career, Selena Gomez is also an author, she is a producer, and she is a really good actress. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if she got even more important parts to play in either film or television in the near future. Gomez is a multi-talented artist who has overcome many obstacles in her life. The fact she constantly thinks about people who go through it as she goes through is one of the reasons she is a great artist. In this new docuseries, she has managed to show a very private side of her to the masses and that takes a lot of courage as well. But Selen is also human, of course all that hate directed towards her affected her in some way.
