Giannis Antetokounmpo calls out Kevin Durant: “Let me teach you how to carry your own team”

Giannis Antetokounmpo had some strong words to say about Kevin Durant. On a recent episode of ‘The Daily Show’, the Greek superstar called out his NBA counterpart by mocking his inability to “carry” teams.

In the middle of the show Giannis, who has developed quite the reputation for being a ‘joker’, turned directly to the camera with a smirk on his face and said: “You keep joining super teams to win an NBA title. How about we work out together some time so I can teach you how to carry your own team?” The crowd was taken aback by the remark and gasped in response, with plenty of laughter also being heard.

How about we work out together some time so I can teach you how to carry your own team?

Although the comment was said in jest, there was some truth it. Durrant has indeed in the past been criticized for chasing titles and jumping ship to stronger teams as opposed to truly showing his worth by stepping up to the plate.

Durant, who is recently joined the Pheonix suns, has yet to respond to the comment. Fans are waiting hastily to see how he reacts. Although Durrant is well-known for being a relaxed character, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we saw him hit back at Giannis, especially given the directness of Greek’s remarks.

The Bucks play the Suns on March 14. Save the date, things could get intense.
