NFL calls for DK Metcalf to take drug test following NBA All-Star weekend

This past weekend witnessed the NBA’s annual All-Star events with Team Giannis prevailing over Team James 184-175. However, in a bizarre move, the NFL has requested Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf to come in for a drug test following his impressive performance at the Celebrity All-Star game.

Metcalf, who was voted the game’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), put in a dominant display scoring 20 points, collecting 10 rebounds, and making four blocks as he helped Tame Wade to an 81-78 win over Team Ryan.

Following a series of thunderous dunks, many fans even asked for the wide receiver to be given a 10-day contract with an NBA franchise on social media.

However, in a social media post, Metcalf revealed that the NFL required him to take a random drug test following the game.

Metcalf’s rise to fame

Having played for the University of Mississippi, in the NCAA, Metcalf made a name for himself during the NFL Combine in 2019. What stood out to most scouts was Metcalf‘s ability to jump with the Mississippi native clearing 11-foot and 2-inch during a broad jump.

His ability to jump high was on full display during the All-Star celebrity game.
