Meghan Markle likened herself to “royal rebel” two years before meeting Harry

British media have discovered a blog post written back in 2014 by Meghan Markle referring to the Royal Family two years before she even met Prince Harry.

Despite having indicated that she had very little awareness of the royals before meeting her future husband, the Duchess of Sussex discussed on her post about Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s 2011 wedding.

The Daily Mail has revealed that the post was uploaded on the now-defunct website The Tig, in which Meghan revealed what kind of princess she wanted to become.

“Little girls dream of being princesses,” Meghan wrote. “I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power.

“For those of you unfamiliar with the ’80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength.

“We’re definitely not talking about Cinderella here. Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy.

“Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”

In his newly released memoir ‘Spare’, Harry claimed that Meghan didn’t even know who Prince Andrew was, believing that he was just the Queen’s assistant.

“After a moment Meg asked me something about the Queen’s assistant,” Harry wrote.

“I asked who she was talking about. ‘That man holding the purse. That man who walked her to the door. That wasn’t her assistant? Who was it?’

“That was her second son. Andrew.

“She definitely hadn’t googled us.”
