Arrived at OM last summer, Eric Bailly has not really revived. The Ivorian is on loan from Manchester United. But so far, the 28-year-old central defender hasn’t really convinced. A long-term future at OM at the end of the season seems to be complicated. And its future is becoming increasingly unclear.
Last summer theOM led a rather interesting transfer window, recruiting several players to build a team likeIgor Tudor. Pablo Longoria in particular brought Eric Bailly on loan from Manchester United. The 28-year-old central defender was no longer wanted among the Red Devils and thus intended to relaunch on the Canebière.

Bailly can’t do it at OM
But since he arrived in France, things haven’t gone any better for Eric Bailly. So far, the Ivorian has only played 13 games underIgor Tudorwith only three tenures in League 1. His long suspension after his red card received against Hyeres in the Coupe de France did not help matters. As a result, its future remains rather uncertain.
What future for Bailly at the end of the season?
In his column for CaughtOffsidethe journalist of CBS Sports jonathan johnson revealed thatEric Bailly had yet to impress enough during his loan spellOM. While the Marseille club has a €10m purchase option in the Ivorian’s contract, it seems unlikely to see Pablo Longoria lift it. In this context, Eric Bailly should go back to Manchester United at the end of the season. And it should be rather complicated for the Red Devils to find him another club. To be continued…
