Karol G reveals that she will release a song with Shakira titled ‘TQG’

Colombian artist Karol G has revealed that she will release a song, called ‘TQG’, together with Shakira in her new album ‘Manana sera bonito’.

Known as ‘La Bichota’, Karol G attended an NBA game last month wearing a T-shirt with the message “Te quedo grande”, which referred to Shakira‘s hit ‘Session Vol.3’.

In an interview with the New York Times, Karol G said that she has made her dream of singing with Shakira come true. EFE confirmed with Sony Music, which represents Shakira, the collaboration of the two signers.

Shakira, Karol G and their messages to their ex-partners

Shakira has achieved a great media stir with her latest song, ‘Session Vol.53’ in collaboration with Argentine producer Bizarrap. The song, through which she aims digs at ex-partner Gerard Pique, became the most listened to Spanish-language hit on Spotify.

Previously, the Colombian artist had released the songs ‘Te felicito’ and ‘Monotonia’, recorded with Puerto Ricans Rauw Alejandro and Ozuna, respectively. Both hits also included messages interpreted as direct references to her relationship with the father of her two children.

Karol G released her song ‘Mamii’ last year, a collaboration with Californian Becky G, which was described by the Colombian’s followers as a direct message to her ex-partner, Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA.

On the new album ‘Manana sera bonito’, Karol G also worked with Finneas (brother and collaborator of Billie Eilish), Jamaican dancehall singer Sean Paul, Bronx-born bachata singer Romeo Santos and Dominican Angel Dior, among others.
